As much as I'd like to take all the credit for this amazing shoot, I could not have created these photos without Chloe! Now when I say Chloe, I mean our amazing model / senior Chloe. But, I must also thank my girlfriend/assistant Chloe as well for her help as always! The dual Chloe's made it difficult to give direction at some points during the shoot, but I think it also helped lighten the mood and add some humor. With things like "Chloe, put your foot there and look to the left for me" and I look and see assistant Chloe jokingly doing the movement, it was hard not to laugh! Now a little bit more about the shoot. Chloe came to me from a referral, and without having ever seen a picture of her, I showed up to the location and was shocked. She had the perfect look, the one that screamed, "I'm a model". But, nope, she was just your normal high school senior working at Calvin Klein. Though, the Calvin Klein job might have helped in her ability to effortlessly pose. Oh except there was one other thing about her. She was accepted to the Air Force Academy! Yeah, the same Academy my cousin just finished up his 2nd year at, and last summer was jumping out of airplanes. This girl is brave! And she had to be to put up with the barrage of mosquito bites. I can't even begin to describe the amount of bites I retouched out of these photos.
Without further rambling, time to take a look at the amazing photos we created together!
Now for my photographer readers, here's the cool details on the gear used ;)
All of these were shot with my Canon 6D body and either an 85mm f/1.8 or 24-105mm f/4 lens.
They were shot with the help of both natural light, and with a single Paul C Buff AB800 Strobe inside a Westcott 43" Apollo Orb.
I also got to finally put my new Lee Filters 4x4 .9 ND filter to use with my Lee Filters Lens Hood. Worked great to help me shoot at a shallow depth of field while using my strobe.
