I had the pleasure of working with Crystal earlier this year on her maternity photos. And as I'm trying to finally share all of my shoots, it's time you get to meet Crystal! By the time we shot Crystal's photos, she was very very pregnant. I believe she had her beautiful baby just 3 weeks after we concluded our shoot! Her awesome husband Troy got to partake in the fun session as well, and being the good husband he even showed up early to meet me with Crystal's Pinterest board of ideas :) . Seeing as I'm a guy, and posing pregnant women isn't my specialty (though I'm pretty good at it ;)) this was a big help for all the little cliche yet adorable poses. Now for the photos, since that's what you're all here to see anyways!
The photo above is my favorite that came out of the whole set! It's so intimate and emotional with the lighting I created, I LOVE it!!
And how it was shot - for my photographer readers!
These photos were lit with a Westcott Apollo Orb Octabox, and 1 Lumopro LP180 Speedlite that was CTO gelled. (CTO) stands for color temperature orange. For the photo I listed as my favorite from the set, I had cut out most ambient light with the settings in my camera. It was also getting rather dark, and I positioned my light camera right, and feathered it so it just highlighted the front of her and her belly.
